David's Tent 2025 Guest Artist Application

Charlton Park, Wiltshire, SN16 9LL

Friday 22nd - Monday 25th August, 2025

This application form is for those who would like a space to paint or draw during worship in the Big Top.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE FILLING IN THE APPLICATION FORM

For health and safety reasons, the number of Guest Artist spaces is limited. These spaces will largely be allocated on a first-come first-served basis, although David's Tent reserves the right to curate applications. If you are successful in your application, your location in the tent will be assigned by the Art team.

Each Guest Artist will be provided with a 1m x 1m space. It is your responsibility to ensure that all your equipment will fit into an area of this size.

There is an electricity supply in the Big Top, but you will need to bring your own lamp and extension lead.

In addition you will need to bring an easel, all necessary art equipment and supplies, a chair, and a floor covering for your space (ensuring all this will fit into your 1m x 1m space).

Please also ensure you bring warm clothing. Even if the weather is good, it gets cold in the tent at night.

We ask all Guest Artists to sign our Guest Artist Protocol (see below).

If you have any questions, please get in touch with Scott at [email protected]

Getting to Know You

Guest Artist Protocol

Many thanks for your interest in worshipping creatively with us at David's Tent 2025!

Please read the following Guest Artist Protocol to be sure you can agree to our guidelines.

1. Your artwork should firstly be an act or worship, adoring and glorifying God. It should be encouraging to the body of Christ, drawing people closer in worship. We are protective of you as someone who wishes to worship through art, but we are also protective of the ones who are influenced by our expressions. Let's be demonstrations of God's love for His people - so please, no dodgy stuff!

2. Due to very limited space restrictions in the Big Top you are allowed one working easel space (1m x 1m) only. If you begin to take up more than one easel space you will be asked to remove your excess artwork. When the tent reaches capacity there is simply not enough room for every artist to have numerous pieces on display, and we must have a servant heart at all times.

 3. You will be responsible for the care and safety of your own artwork and equipment at all times. David's Tent cannot accept responsibility for any theft, loss or damage your art or equipment may incur whilst onsite.

 4. Each Guest Artist will be given one space on the back wall of the Big Top to display artwork created at DT 25. We want this space to be a record of what God is doing at the event. Please do not bring any previously created artwork to DT to display in the Big Top.

5. Sale of artwork. The DT Team are currently reviewing where and how artwork may be offered for sale at DT 25. We will let you know the outcome of this review before the event. All Guest Artists are asked to abide by the decisions of the DT Team about where and how artwork may be sold. (If you wish to explore having a booth in the Resource Tent please email [email protected]).

6. It is suggested that you could make an optional donation to DT of 15% from any and all of your art sales. If you'd like to do this, we'll let you know at the event how this can be paid. Thank you!

7. All Guest Artists are asked to attend a short meeting with the Art Team at 10am on Saturday morning.

8. Please honour the DT organisers by vacating the Big Top with all your artwork by 1pm on Monday, and taking all your litter with you. Thank you!
